On August 7th, Dan & Erika were married at the awe inspiring Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver followed by an elegant wedding reception on the top of Grouse Mountain in the Timber Room.

Both the bride and the groom got ready for their Grouse Mountain wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver, which was great as I don’t always get to shoot both of them preparing for their big day!

I couldn’t get enough of Erika’s sexy red wedding shoes and her gorgeous gown! The bridesmaids wore the same shoe in black and looked amazing.

Ceremony inside the Holy Rosary Cathedral. If you have a little time to read, check out the Holy Rosary Cathedral site. there is some really cool history on this church. Over 100 years old, it was built in 1899 and declared a ‘cathedral’ in 1916. One more little piece of trivia, it is built of sandstone from Gabriola Island on foundations of local granite.

The weather wasn’t cooperating *quite* the way we had planned and it started pouring rain so we were forced to get a little more creative with the photo session. I saw this big window at the Four Seasons and thought it would be cool to pose Erika & the girls like a store display. Luckily Erika & Dan are an easy going couple and ran around outside a bit for a few fun photos in the rain as well (sans umbrella!).
