10 reasons to hire Audra’s Photography for your Big Day

1)  I’m experienced – I’ve photographed over 200 weddings and events. See some of my work on my main website at www.audrasphotography.com

2)  You’ll receive exceptional customer service – I don’t want to just be your wedding photographer. I want you to want to hire me for future events and portrait sessions.

3)  I’m part ninja. I can move around the room and get great photos without you knowing I’m even there.

4)  Feeling a little stressed? I have amazing Bride and Groom calming skills.

5)  I also have excellent cat-herding skills when it comes time for the formals.

6)  I love what I do. I don’t wake up on Saturday mornings thinking, “I have to work today.” I wake up and think, “I get to shoot a wedding today!”

7)  I work well with others. I make it a point to get to know the other vendors I work with so that the day runs smoothly for everyone.

8)  I’m fun! I have a great sense of humour and try to keep the portrait sessions light and fun.

9)  I don’t limit the number of images you’ll get during your wedding.  A typical 8 hour day typically yields about 600 – 800 final images, but I don’t limit myself to any exact number.

10)  I have lot and lots of happy couples. Check out some of the reviews on my Facebook Page by clicking here. (While you’re there, why not click on the ‘like’ button!)

I hope I’ve given you reason to consider me for your wedding. If you have any questions or would like to see my work in person, pop me an email at audra@audrasphotography.com or call me at 604.862.0105

Yarrow Wedding // Niki & Sam

Filed under Weddings • Written by Audra @ 6:12 PM

I had the pleasure of not only photographing a wedding last Saturday, but enjoying it as a guest as well! Niki is my husband’s cousin so the wedding was full of familiar family & friends as she exchanged vows with Sam. (You may also recognize them from when they were featured on my blog once before. I did some family portraits at Peace Arch Park of the whole Miller Family.)

We met before the ceremony for the formal photos down at McDonald Park in Chilliwack. It was a quiet little park with great lighting and backgrounds.

The one thing I have always loved about Niki’s family is how close they are and how all of their friends are family as well. They are always laughing and having a great time together. The ceremony was no exception! Here they are in the backyard of Yarrow Hall.

So classy with the black and white room details and the beautiful 3 tiered wedding cake. The gorgeous rings were custom designed by Garine Jewellers in Central City. Flowers are by Quik Pik Flowers and room decor is by Cinderella Chair.

The reception was (of course) full of love and laughter. In order to get Niki & Sam to kiss, guests had to make a donation into their kissing jar, in which all of the money would be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of Niki’s Mom, Kathy, who left us just over 2 years ago. I know she was smiling down on Niki & Sam that day and so proud of her beautiful daughter!

Thanks, Sam & Niki, for letting me be a part of your day! :D

Vancouver Wedding // Erika & Dan

Wedding: Holy Rosary Cathedral
Reception: Grouse Mountain
Cake: Indulgence Desserts
Flowers: Buy The Bunch
Make Up: Aritzia
Hair: Audrey Escobar
DJ: Audio Edge
Video: Wired Digital

On August 7th, Dan & Erika were married at the awe inspiring Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver followed by a reception on the top of Grouse Mountain in the Timber Room.

Both the bride and the groom got ready at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver, which was great as I don’t always get to shoot both of them preparing for their big day!

I couldn’t get enough of Erika’s sexy red wedding shoes and her gorgeous gown! The bridesmaids wore the same shoe in black and looked amazing.

The weather wasn’t cooperating *quite* the way we had planned and it started raining so we were forced to get a little more creative with the photo session. I saw this big window at the Four Seasons and thought it would be cool to pose Erika & the girls like a store display. Luckily Erika & Dan are an easy going couple and ran around outside a bit for a few fun photos in the rain as well (sans umbrella!).

More beautiful wedding details. In lieu of favours, Dan & Erika made a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in honour of Erika’s mother, Vima.

White Rock & Vancouver Wedding // Natalie & Richard

Hair: Aru Spa
Dress: Sposa Couture
Cake: Hillcrest Bakery, White Rock
Flowers: Flowers & Company, Langley
Music: Suede Dogs

Natalie and Richard have known each other since they were 11 years old when they attended the Star of the Sea School together. They were married on Saturday at the Good Shepherd Church in South Surrey, followed by a reception at the Teahouse Restaurant in Stanley Park.

Both of them are so playful with each other and with their friends. I had a lot of fun with them in the short time we were together!

They had the cutest little ring bearer who calmly and carefully walked down the aisle and took his seat up at the front, only stepping out (quietly) for a couple of cute photo ops. I think he was just looking out for my best interest…

Stunning bride + hot groom + fun wedding party + perfect light = AWESOMENESS. It was also agreed upon by the majority of the wedding party that Richard has a most excellent profile. I love his cheeky grin in the last photo. :)

Just after all of the photos had finished and everybody headed inside for the reception at the Teahouse, a freak storm hit and pelted the park with hail and pouring rain. As luck would have it, it started minutes before I left and ended pretty much after I walked the couple of blocks to my car. As they say, though, it’s lucky to have rain on your wedding day – so there you have it Natalie & Richard!

All the best to you as you begin your lives together! :)
