Audra’s Photography. When I was a kid I dreamed of having a photography career. I wanted to shoot for National Geographic or Vogue Magazine. I put that dream on the back burner for a while and enjoyed a few years of employment in the retail business. I still loved taking pictures and would have friends and family ask me to do their weddings (for free, of course!). Just ten short years ago I photographed my first wedding under my awesomely creative business name – Audra’s Photography
. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown! I’ve seen some of my wedding clients go on to have families, portrait clients become parents & grandparents, and helped create lasting memories for both. Being a photographer truly has been a fantastic and rewarding career for me and I have all of YOU to thank for it!
To celebrate, I’m offering a few wedding & portrait specials to my friends and fans who have supported me and helped me get to where I am today. Where would I be without you?!
For the month of March I am offering:
10% off wedding packages of 8 hours or more
10% off portrait & engagement sessions
10% off gift certificates
Also, 10% of ALL proceeds for the month of March will go to BC Children’s Hospital! Through friends, family & clients, I have seen the great work that they do and the TLC that they provide for children and their families during difficult times. In my opinion, BC Children’s is an excellent charity to give back to.
PS If you have already booked a smaller wedding package with me and would like to take advantage of this offer by upgrading to 8 hours or more, just pop me an email and let me know. I can hook you up!
*One last thing! Be sure to mention this blog post in your communication with me in order to receive this special & to benefit BC Children’s Hospital!*
Thank you so much for being a part of Audra’s Photography! I hope to see you again in the years to come.

6 I received two absolutely gorgeous sample wedding albums in the mail the other day and thought I would share.
I sell three different styles of wedding albums: flush mount albums, coffee table books & magazine albums.
This first would make a unique guest book or smaller wedding albums for parents. It is a 4×10 flip book with photos from an engagement session I had done in Crescent Beach. I chose the textured aquamarine colour to match the bride-to-be’s outfit (and her eyes!). The photos are on the bottom of the book and guests sign at the top. I used a Sharpie in the sample shown, but I think pretty much any type of pen can work here.

I am SO in love with this 10×10 flush mount album! The black textured leather inlaid with hot pink suede is super sexy. I chose these colours to match the bride’s vibrant bouquet and the fun and passionate personalities of the bride and groom. The layout of the wedding photos is completely custom designed and the bride and groom approve the layout before the album is sent off to be printed and bound. This type of wedding album is my favourite because of the variety of colours, textures and designs available.

A few of my favourite album layouts. The bottom two photos are of the album laying flat and the design spreads across the two pages.

Here are a few more details of the flush mount album. The pages are thick (about the width of a nickel) and very sturdy. The album lays flat when open and the spine of the album can be square (as shown) or rounded. There is also a large variety of cover styles & colour combos to choose from to match your wedding style.

Just a few of the leathers, fabrics and textures you can choose from. So many combinations!

The first two photos below are of a 10×10 coffee table book. It has flexible, but high quality pages and a custom photo cover. It also comes with a protective dust jacket in the same photo as the cover. The coffee table book is custom designed and the bride and groom approve the layout before it is sent off to be made. The last two photos are of an 8.5×11 magazine album. This inkjet printed book is great for brides and grooms on a budget. The bride and groom simply pick out the photos they’d like in the album and will not see it until the album is shipped back to me. The magazine album also comes in a 10×15 size.

0 I woke up to a wonderful surprise email this morning. Audra’s Photography is a winner of one of Wedding Wire’s Bride’s Choice Awards 2012. That means I am in the top 5% of wedding pros nationwide! Here’s a link to some of the reviews from past brides and grooms that helped me achieve this goal. This was a nice way to start a rainy Monday, that’s for sure!

After meeting online a couple of years ago, Becky & Colin had a beautiful Heritage Hall wedding in Vancouver last Friday – marking my last wedding of 2011. What a fantastic group of people to end the year with! Colin & Becky were so laid back and easy going – even though Colin apparently made a name for himself as a ‘Groomzilla’. I couldn’t imagine. We had so much fun right from the start of the wedding day.
Becky got ready at the Park Inn with her bridesmaids. Her brother stopped in to see his little sister and you could see how proud he was of her. I think he may have even shed a tear or two. ![]()

Becky’s bridal accessories and wedding dress were gorgeous! Maria, from Niche Event Stylists, designed the bridal bouquet and Becky honoured her father with a portrait of him attached to the floral arrangement. On the back side of the charm was a photo of her with her Dad; him in a Maple Leafs jersey, and she in Canucks.

The wedding ceremony was at Heritage Hall in Vancouver. Planning by Eventful Planners and decor by Niche, the room looks so pretty with the red and black damask chair covers.

After the ceremony we had two hours for photos (love!!) so we hit a few different spots around Vancouver, including Olympic Village, Hotel Georgia and Gastown. Here are a few faves from the portrait session.

It was starting to get very cold, windy and rainy by the end of the photo session, but this bridal party was good to go!

Wedding reception back at Heritage Hall. It was cool to see how the room was transformed from the ceremony layout to a stunning reception room. And the details! Oh my goodness… I could make a whole post just for the decor and details from this wedding. The red velvet wedding cake was to die for! This was definitely one of the prettiest weddings I have ever photographed.

Colin & Becky, I wish you the absolute best in your lives together!
PS You can read Colin’s 5 star rating of Audra’s Photography here on Wedding Wire. Thanks again, Colin!

0 Cynthia and Justin wanted to have some family portraits made with their two adorable young boys at the beach after moving to South Surrey from Winnipeg just a few weeks ago. It was about 3° at the beach that day, but I’m sure it was like summer for them!

The boys really had fun running towards my camera. “Again! Again!” So much fun having them chase me! ![]()

I hope to see you all again sometime!
